COVID 19 Information

In this current lock down this branch will be closed. All pawnbroking business has been transferred to our other branch Bring or Buy Pawnbrokers on Exeter Street, just a short walk away opposite the new Barcode complex. They will be opening on reduced hours,10 AM to 1 PM Tues to Sat, running a full pawnbroking service for new loans, extensions, renewals and collections. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause but this was the only way we could offer a reliable service.

Please be aware that interest will continue to accrue on your loan.

If you are unable to get in branch they will accept card payments over the phone to renew your contract or redeem your item(s) for collection later, rest assured your items will be stored securely together with paperwork and card receipts until you collect. Please remember to bring your paperwork in.

We're here to help so if your finances have been adversely affected by Covid please call Bring or Buy on 01572 661673 or come in branch where we can go through any options that may be available depending at what stage your contract is, just about to expire, just expired or at end of 3 month extension.

Contract either just about to expire or just expired

You can ask for  up to 3 month extension on your contract, although interest will still accrue on the loan in the extension period, giving you a little extra time to redeem or renew your contract. Please be aware that the additional 3 months interest may deplete any surplus that may be generated after the sale of your item(s) if there was a large amount of equity in the item(s) i.e. you borrowed a lot less than we offered on your item(s) if you subsequently don't get your item(s) back after the extension.

Please call and we can discuss any possible options like a further 3 months extension to help until your current financial situation has passed. We understand that this is a difficult time and we'll work with you to get the best possible outcome.

Please remember as stated in the contract, if you wish not to get your item(s) back we will sell them to recover the outstanding amount. You will NOT be liable for any shortfall from the amount raised from the sale and this would end the contract, this however would not prevent you from using our services again. If your item(s) raises more than the outstanding balance plus selling costs we will notify you to collect the remaining amount.
